Winter 2015


Time has changed. Yet, the truth remains forever. It is a new start and it is a new beginning in my life. We live in an unique time in our history as we approach 2020. The recent events in France show our how valuable innocent human life is while at the same time we must combat Islamophobia and oppression. Not many people in human history will witness and look at what you are reading now. Therefore, I took my time in showing great information with sources, documentation, and inspiration. Life is special. It is temporary, fragile, and glorious. That is why we should always reiterate the truth that we will never back down. We will continue to fight against imperialism. We will always oppose racism and bigotry. We will defend the poor and the oppressed. That is what our ancestors did and these actions are part of quintessential, important, and valuable spiritual including moral traditions. From the civilizations of the Motherland thousands of years ago to the digital age near 2020, we are still here. Regardless of the ages that come about, we are still here living our lives and standing up for the cause. Our eyes are on the prize. We will always believe in the Dream. The Dream is rooted in the premise that the entire human race should have freedom, justice, and equality. The Dream is about living in a world where racial profiling and the injustices of oppression are eradicated. The Dream is where justice, harmony, brotherhood, and sisterhood are made real for humanity.

Our lives are our own and we should never allow people to dictate our lives in a despotic fashion. We have one life to live and we will live to the absolute fullest. A person can easily love black culture and black history while defending the rights of humanity in general at the same time. Getting older certainly makes a person more mature and to realize what is most important. What is most important in life is not about bigotry and irrational hatreds. It is about truth, integrity, standing up for something, doing positive social action, and believing in hope. That is why apathy is not an option. We have to fight for our people without apology. Yes, black women have every right to stand up and speak up for themselves. The truth speaks for itself. Some people who spew this sexism are angry at themselves. Others do it on purpose as a means for them to try to indoctrinate others to accept their nefarious views. There is beauty in diversity as the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has said. I like to study different cultures as many know. When I study different cultures, I do feel a better connection within my own consciousness as well. You feel better aware about how you fit in the world picture when you learn about cultures. We have the right to experience joy and to fulfill our own happiness.

In black communities nationwide, there is readily found police terrorism and economic exploitation. We can’t ignore these issues and we can’t brush these issues under the rug. We have to confront evil if we want to defeat evil. Back in the day, the Black Panthers not only condemned police terrorism. They actually observed the police working, so they could protect the black community. They also taught people about the law, organized health care programs, and promoted self-defense. So, we should organize our power, know about the law (especially about unjust laws, so we can fight unjust laws), and build in our communities in a higher level. Our consciousness must grow, because we can’t be free without the knowledge of Self. We have to love our black identity or our black personhood in order for us to be truly free. Our eyes should be on the prize. That prize is the eradication of police brutality and the establishment of the system of justice (so, black people can be free and liberated to determine our own destinies as human beings). It is very revolting to see stories about how innocent people have been sent into prison. Much more political leaders should advocate for radical, revolutionary changes in the criminal justice system, because the criminal justice system currently is a disgrace. The New Jim Crow has harmed and ruined lives for decades. True activists are right to mention that we need real change where the dignity of human life is truly honored and respected for real. Sharrif Wilson was a man who was a victim of the prison industrial complex. RIP Sharif Wilson.

I can never forget about the Golden Rule too. It is precise ideal that is found in many spiritual traditions the world over. It means that we should treat others as we would have others treat us. That principle is applicable for all of humanity. For centuries, immigrants, and other people traveled the world. Many people have suffered oppression, but we have the right to stand up and fight for our liberation as human beings. The evils of institutionalized racism and economic exploitation never stopped Ella Baker, Septima Clark, and others who fought for the development of our communities. The wave of poor scapegoating will not hurt us. The racism and discrimination in the world will not deter us. We are on the move on and we will not let anything turn us around. I love to research information. I love to learn and to analyze things. Therefore, it is very important us to explore, to discover, and to develop our intellects. We should learn about not only about the what. We should learn about the how and the why. In that sense, we see the details and the procession of why and how things occur in the first place. In this new era of history, we are approaching 2020. The world is much different than it was even 10 years ago. The world is more interconnected socially, technologically, and politically. The world is much more multicultural. That is why it is important for us to learn about the diverse cultures of the globe, so we can grow our consciousness (and realize how we fit in the world picture). We see, as a result of learning different cultures, that we have many interconnections as human beings. Time is going fast in my eyes. I remember 1996 like it was yesterday. Now, it is the year 2015. There are many of the same issues of yesteryear like poverty and human rights issues. Also, we have many new complex issues that we have to deal with bioethics, GMOs, and climate change. What we do now will definitely effect our future. Life will have nuisances, so we have to study even the nuisances in order for us to develop comprehensive solutions to our problems basically. I will continue to live my life, love humanity, and believe in awe-inspiring wisdom.







 Phi


I wanted to mentioned information more extensively about Phi for a long time. Phi is found in mathematics. Also, it is found old Greek alphabet too. Today, Phi is also a description of the golden ratio (as used in math and science). The golden ratio is found in mathematics as the following formula of: (1+ the square root of five) divided by 2. That equation is equal to approximately 1.618033988749…. This concept is found also in art and architecture. The golden ratio conjugate is -0.618. Phi is a common symbol for the parametrization of a surface in vector calculus. In the past few decades, mathematicians, researchers, etc. have found the pattern of the golden rule and the Fibonacci series in Nature, the Solar system, etc. In mathematics, the Fibonacci sequence is about the numbers in the following integer sentence like 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144….The modern usage of the sequence appears in the following numbers: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144….. By definition, the first two numbers in the Fibonacci sequence are 1 and 1, or 0 and 1, depending on the chosen starting point of the sequence, and each subsequent number is the sum of the previous two. This sequence has been found in Indian mathematics centuries ago. However, the clearest exposition of the series arises in the work of Virahanka (c. 700 AD), whose own work is lost, but is available in a quotation by Gopala (c. 1135). The Fibonacci series is a simple pattern, but it appears all over the cosmos. Flower petals have the Fibonacci sequence. Famous examples include the lily, which has three petals, buttercups, which have five (pictured at left), the chicory's 21, the daisy's 34, and so on. Phi appears in petals. Each petal is placed at 0.0618034 per turn (out of a 360 degree circle). This allows for the best possible exposure to sunlight and other factors. The yellow Chamomile head show the arrangement in 21 (blue) and 13 (aqus) spirals. This spirals involve Fibonacci numbers. Fibonacci sequences are found in branching of trees, leaves on a stem, the fruitlets of a pineapple, the flowering of artichoke, and the family tree of honeybees. Even the DNA molecule have relations to the Fibonacci and the Golden ratio. The DNA molecule measures 34 angstroms long by 21 angstroms wide for each full cycle of its double helix spiral. These numbers, 34 and 21, are numbers in the Fibonacci series, and their ratio 1.6190476 closely approximates Phi, 1.6180339.

The number Five is definitely linked to Phi and even the Fibonacci series. Phi can be derived from many formulas based on the number five. Another formula for phi can be expressed in all five as well. For example, Phi is equated to the following formula: (5 to the 0.5 power) times (0.5 plus 0.5). Erol Karazincir has shown the formula of Phi as equal to the square root of (5+the square root of 5)/5-square root of 5). Phi does appear in the geometry of the 5 sided pentagon as well. The Pentagon must be of 5 equal sides and connect all points to form a 5 pointed star. The ratios of the lengths of the resulting line segments are all based on phi. In 2010, the journal Science reported that the golden ratio is present at the atomic scale in the magnetic resonance of spins in cobalt niobate crystals. Some graphic artists use golden ratio concepts in designing various logos for car companies, soda products, and other things. For example, the logo of Atari, Nissan, Toyota, Pepsi incorporate patters of the Golden Section. There is also the theory about not only do Phi relationships exist in the solar system, but the planets including the Sun link together via the basic Fiboancaci series. Rogert Tattersall and others believe in this interesting theory. Gary Meisner writes that the dimensions of the Earth and the Moon have a Phi relationship forming a Triangle based on 1.618. We do know that many ancient structures from the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Parthenon use a lot of sophisticated mathematics in their constructions including Phi.
