New York, NY (LifeNews.com) -- Rolling Stone magazine is coming under fire for featuring a mock interview with former President George W. Bush in its latest issue. During the interview, Rolling Stone satirizes the death of Terri Schiavo by having the former president supposedly mocking her death, even though he tried to save her life.

The magazine supposedly asks Bush about why he signed a bill to allow Terri's family to take their lawsuit to protect her from a painful euthanasia death to federal courts.

Rolling Stone has the president saying that he only helped Terri because Jewish attorneys were trying to kill her and that his brother, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, wanted to spin the case as an attack on Christians.

The music magazine has Bush, in the fake interview, condemning Michael Schiavo, Terri's former husband who subjected her to the 13-day starvation and dehydration death.

It has Bush describing Michael as "like this Mike Ditka-looking atheist guy who wants to starve his wife to death while he's running around knocking up other chicks."

Rolling Stone also has Bush claiming Karl Rove was excited for the White House to get involved.

"Politics is all about forcing people to make simple choices, that's what my dad always told me, and this one was an A+ choice for us. Karl, you should have seen him, he was on the phone day and night, telling every news director in the country that he wanted to see that Schiavo lady's face 'on every channel, like it's the State of the Union address,'" Bush says in the parody.

"So sure enough, we're watching TV later that night, and CNN just has her and her drooling-[beep], doped-up smile on this endless loop," Bush continues in the fake interview. "Karl is literally jumping up and down with excitement at the sight of her."

It has Rove reportedly saying, "I want to see every liberal in the country on Larry King campaigning to yank her feeding tube. Get Ben Affleck on there, Sean Penn. Show them side by side with her looking fat and helpless with those dead-fish eyes of hers, split-screen. She'll get us 10,000 votes an hour."

Rolling Stone has Bush conclude the pretend interview this way: "Yeah. Karl was almost inconsolable when she passed. He kept looking for a replacement. Karen Hughes called it his 'vegetable hunt.' He'd call long lists of registered Democrats, asking if they had a brain-dead wife they wanted to pull the plug on."

The music magazine's satire is obviously a work of fiction but it has Terri Schiavo's family upset and Bobby Schindler, Terri's brother, informed LifeNews.com he is disgusted by the article.

Jill Stanek, a prominent pro-life blogger, also commented on the Rolling Stone piece.

She called it "standard fare" for a left-wing media outlet and added that it was "egregious to the memory of Terri Schindler Schiavo."

"Such contempt for the dead, particularly disabled, is unthinkable to me," Stanek added. I can't imagine, for instance, Rolling Stone satirizing Joseph and Rose Kennedy's lobotomized daughter Rose Marie, who died just two and a half months before Terri. There's certainly plenty of fodder there for the imaginative."

Stanek accuses the paper of religious bias and says the "liberal minds at Rolling Stone confine their lampoons to acceptable 'Christian' prey, with no regard given to Terri's parents and siblings."

"Apparently their subjection to maligning will see no end or bounds, simply for trying to save Terri from being killed by dehydration and starvation," she concludes.
