Baker Study Group Emboldens America's Enemies -->

December 7 - Baker Group Emboldens America's Enemies Jim Wallis, now officially crowned as the speaker for the "Religious Left," has an ad running on one of his mass e-mails from his "Sojourners" ministry stating that it is time to talk to Iran. The U.S., that is, is to sit down and have a cozy dialogue with Iran. It's a major picture on his e-mail so no one can miss it.Our European allies say President Bush needs to talk to Iran. The Baker-Hamilton "Iraq Study Group" (IRS) concluded we must talk to Iran and Syria.Wallis says, "It's time for diplomacy, not another war. To stabilize Iraq, to promote peace in the Middle East, and to address their nuclear program, it's time to talk with Iran!" Wallis then provides a petition which more than 40,000 have signed which will be delivered to Congress and the President in January.James Baker, head of the "Iraq Study Group" and responsible for the disastrous Madrid Treaty of 1991, suggested that the Bush administration's refusal to talk with Iran and Syria is the reason for our inability to stabilize Iraq. So we are to bargain in good faith with two of our most deadly enemies, Iran and Syria. This week Ahmadinejad said that the destruction of America would happen very soon. That sounds like an invitation to sit down and dialogue, right? He is having "messianic visions" of the soon-returning Mahdi or Islamic messiah. He is clearly psychotic. But we are to talk to him to stabilize the Middle East and particularly Iraq and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. How do you talk to Syria as the "Iraq Study Group" also recommends? Baker's group recommended Syria be given the Golan Heights taken by Israel for defensive purposes in war.

And get this: Israel has no say in this decision. Syria is a wretched regime who slaughtered her own people some years ago when the elder Assad thought the town of Hama had residents opposed to him. The solution? Destroy 20,000 innocent civilians. The younger Assad is a chip off the old block. Syria can't wait to dump her chemical and biological weapons of mass destruction on Israel.Syria produced Hezbollah along with Iran. Syria is assassinating Lebanese leaders. Syria should have been a part of the "axis of evil" but was left out, but it wasn't left out so America could sit down and chit-chat.What is there to talk about? Talking is but a way of showing those who hate us we really want to respect them. It is more appeasement which is the disease and delusion of the 21st century.Iran's nukes were not addressed. A Palestinian state was as that would solve all the world's problems. The report empowers Iran, Syria, and their proxies, all responsible for Iraq's lethality of violence. Just a few hours after the group's announcement, the Muslim/terror world was rejoicing calling it a victory for "Islamic Resistance." A Hamas spokesman said, "The big superpower of the world was defeated by the mujahadeen." Caving to Palestinian terrorists will only embolden them to grow stronger terror cells in the territories and especially Gaza.

As Gary Bauer says about the Baker-Hamilton report, "Other than Reagan conservative Ed Meese, the commission members were drawn out of the left-of-center political establishment of Washington. Their conclusions will embolden America's enemies and discourage America's friends."It's never time to talk to evil regimes. It always time to get tough with them, unless you're a part of the establishment Left or the "Religious Left." If so, you are deluded, you want John Lennon's give peace a chance, light candles, and sing "We are the World." That's what the United Nations does. Show me their accomplishments.Delusion is running amok. The Left never gets it right. While some cheer, others say this is a low point for America similar to our fleeing Viet Nam. What makes it so difficult to see that agents of Syria, Iran, and Hezbollah, are moving forward to kill as many Israelis and Americans as possible and destroy the nation of Lebanon? As the Washington Times reports, this is nothing but the Alamo in the Middle East. Perhaps the bottom line is that the group does not seem to grasp that our enemy has a god who wants us dead. Islamofascists have no hesitation to wipe out millions of us. The members of the "Iraq Study Group" are nothing but more "infidels" who don't get it. There is rejoicing, laughter, scoffing, and victory in every Islamic capital of the world. So the "appease disease" needs a dose of something to wipe it out. It's never time to deal with evil regimes; rather, to wipe them out or strangle them with sanctions, but the establishment Left and the "Religious Left" can't get this through their brains.Maybe our world's ills are beyond being solved by mortal man. I believe someone waits in the wings to solve them and it is Antichrist. He will have supernatural skills, but we do not know the timing of his appearing. His reign is short, however. The King of Kings will trounce him in the end and then a perfect theocracy will solve all of these problems for one thousand years.

Bring it on!
